Can you believe it? I hope you're ready to get back into the swing of things at school. You really need to be careful and watch for changed test and project due dates. Don't become lazy and have your grades and work slip because you're still in "snow-day mode".

Can you believe it's already 2007? I hope you're getting off to a great start on making 2007 your best year of school.

The fifth graders had a great time during their pizza party. Thanks to the 5th graders for the awesome job on the contest, and thanks to La Rosa's for donating the pizza!

Congratulations to Mrs. Stewart's 5th grade on winning the Recycling for Pizza contest! They just barely edged out Mr. Harding's 7th grade by bringing 84 items compared to Mr. Harding's 77. Thanks to everyone for working hard and bringing those items in. Don't stop recycling -- whenever you see an ink cartridge or cell phone bring it to either computer lab or the office. I'll be setting up a time for the most awesome pizza party Calvary has ever seen!

Today's the big day! MrSchmid.com has changed for the better. This new setup allows me to post to the site more often, it allows you to post comments when I allow it, and it's generally a lot cooler! Let me know what you think of the site. If you have any problems or issues send me a message by using the "contact mr. schmid" link in the links section (on the right side.) It might be a little slower, but it'll get faster as I work on it more.

USB flash drives (also known as thumb drives, flash drives or jump drives) are now required for all middle and high school students. 128 Mb is the minimum, but larger drives are highly suggested.
A great website to find the best deals on USB drives is dealram.com. Prices on these drives have fallen so much that you'll probably get a good deal at Walmart or Target, but you'll probably get a little more bang for your dollar online.
